Parich Council Precept Information
Under the Local Government Finance Act 1992 ss39,41,52,51 and Council Tax (Administration and Enforcement) Regs 1992 No. 613 art 4 (1), the Council has the power to raise money from those resident within its parish to meet all of its expenses.
This is done by levying a parish rate in the form of a 'precept' and is collected by Babergh District Council as the billing authority. The Parish Council may also occasionally receive grants and income from other sources and use these funds for improvements within it's local community.
Precept files are shown here on the left of the page.
