What it means to you

Under the Freedom of Information Act, it is theduty of all public authorities to adopt and maintain a Publication Scheme. Monks Eleigh Parish Council formally adopted such a Scheme in November 2002.

As the Information Commissioner's Office haschanged the approval and operation of this scheme, Monks Eleigh Parish Council, at its full Parish Council Meeting in November 2008, adopted the new Model Publication Scheme, unedited and asprepared by the Information Commissioner's Office.

The Publication Scheme contains details as to the information that the Parish Council holds and the manner in which it will be made available to the public.
